Install CFW or LCFW 6.39 ME 9.8

This is a Tutorial on how to install either Light CFW or Permanent CFW on your PSP. The Permanent is ONLY FOR PSP 1000 and 2000 models and the LCFW is for PSP 2000v2, 3000 and PSP Go models.

PSP 1000 and 2000:

Step 1: Take the 2403_release_639me98.zip and download it from here and open and extract the files and you will see a release_639me folder. Open that folder and you will see the UPDATE, translate and leda folders. Take the UPDATE folder and copy it to the ms0:/PSP/GAME folder on the MS.

Step 2: Now in the extracted files open the leda folder and you will see the leda.prx. Take that and copy that to the ms0:/seplugins folder on the PSP. In the seplugins folder on the PSP, if you havent already, create a game.txt and open it, inside it write the following ms0:/seplugins/leda.prx 1 exit and save it and then exit USB mode and run the UPDATE.

PSP 2000v2, 3000 and Go

Step 1: Take the 2402_release_639lme98.zip and download it from here and open and extract the files and you will see a release_639lme folder. Inside that folder you will see the translate, PSP and leda folder. Open the PSP folder then the GAME folder and you will see the LAUNCHER and INSTALLER folders, take both these folders and copy them to the ms0:/PSP/GAME folder or for PSP Go ef0:/PSP/GAME folder.

Step 2: Now in the extracted files open the leda folder and you will see the leda.prx. Take that and copy that to the ms0:/seplugins folder on the PSP. In the seplugins folder on the PSP, if you havent already, create a game.txt and open it, inside it write the following ms0:/seplugins/leda.prx 1 exit and save it and then exit USB mode and run the INSTALLER first and then the LAUNCHER.
